POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Golden Tiger Wellness is committed to providing the best possible care for our patients and clients. Please make yourself familiar with our policies as listed below. Our policies have been designed to ensure that you enjoy a positive experience with us.

ARRIVAL

Our clients are asked to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to their first appointment to fill out any paperwork needed. We understand that things come up that are out of your control. Should you arrive later than your appointment time you may have a shortened service, or you may still receive your full service if time allows.

SCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Scheduling an appointment with Golden Tiger Wellness can be done by calling us at 630-346-5106, or by email at info@goldentigerwellness.com. Please leave a contact number and/or email, along with your name. Please confirm your appointment with us before arriving.

We understand that in some cases you may need to cancel your scheduled appointment. Should you need to cancel, we ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice. Clients providing a least 24 hours notice may have appointments canceled or rescheduled at no charge. Clients providing less than 24 hours notice for a cancellation will be charged a $20 late cancellation. Clients who fail to arrive to a scheduled appointment without providing notice will be charged a $40 no show fee. Should an emergency situation arise, please share that information with us, as each situation will be dealt with on an individual basis.

To ensure availability of your desired appointment time, we suggest you schedule your next visit before leaving.

COMFORT

Our licensed acupuncturists and therapists are trained in procedures to assure you are properly covered during the treatment and your privacy will always be respected. Golden Tiger Wellness is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.

Most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing; however, we ask that you disrobe at your level of comfort. During all treatments, the body is fully draped, except for the area being worked on. This is your time and you should delight in the experience to the fullest. Whether it’s the room temperature, the amount of massage pressure, aromatherapy or the volume of the music, please notify your therapist of any discomfort or preferences. We request that cell phones and pagers be turned off while in the treatment rooms.

YOUR HYGIENE AND HEALTH

Please arrive at your appointment clean. If you are sick, please call your practitioner/therapist to determine whether to keep or reschedule your appointment.

PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES

Requests for sexual activity will not be tolerated, will be viewed as solicitation, and reported to the proper authorities under the guidelines of the Golden Tiger Wellness policies and procedures. The client will not be rescheduled if this occurs. Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is never appropriate.

CONVERSATION, CONFIDENTIALITY AND COMPLIANCE

Discussions between you and your licensed Golden Tiger Wellness practitioner/therapist are confidential. You may or may not choose to talk during the treatment. We are happy to listen to your conversation and share our professional expertise. As a patient/client, all information you share about yourself will be kept confidential. We will never sell, share or distribute your personal information. Golden Tiger Wellness is HIPPA and OSHA compliant.

CHILDREN

We do not offer childcare services. However children are allowed in the treatment rooms, if they are quiet and respectful of the space. Please feel free to bring DVD, I-Pads or I-Pods for children entertainment, however volume needs to be low and not disruptive to treatment or other treatments or classes in the next room. Please do not leave children unattended in the reception area.

EXISTING AND NEW MEDICAL CONDITIONS

It is the responsibility of the client to keep the therapist informed of any medical treatment currently being taken, and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., that the treatment may be continued. The client must also keep the therapist informed of any changes in health conditions.

PREGNANCY AND MASSAGE

Acupuncture and Massage therapy can be very beneficial for women during pregnancy. However, be sure to let the practitioner/therapist know you are pregnant in so they can assure your safety and comfort.

GRATUITIES AND TIPS

Gratuities are not expected or necessary, but of course they are an excellent way to let us know our services are appreciated. Though gratuity for massage services are more common, acupuncture is considered a medical service where tipping is not customary.

PAYMENT METHODS

We accept cash and personal checks (with appropriate identification.) There is a $35.00 fee for all returned checks. If at any point legal action becomes necessary, all fees, including court, lawyer, and all other costs will be the responsibility of the patient. Discounts cannot be combined.

PRICES AND PACKAGES

All prices are subject to change, but we will always inform you of any changes when you schedule your appointment. Packages are discounted and provided for the purpose of making treatment prices reasonable during an intensive treatment period, and for the overall success of treatment plans.

Packages must be also be completed within the following schedule: Package of 3 acupuncture treatments; 5 weeks from first treatment, package of 6 acupuncture treatments; 8 weeks from first treatment, package of 3 massages; 10 weeks from first session; package of 6 massages, 20 weeks from first session.

RETURN POLICY

We do not offer refunds on services rendered. No exceptions.

EXCHANGES

When you purchase a package of treatments, you will receive a discounted price. The discounted package price requires full payment for the series at the first treatment date. We do not offer refunds on packages that have been purchased. Should you choose to cancel after you have begun your treatment series, Golden Tiger Wellness will honor the outstanding amount in the form of a gift certificate to be given as a gift or saved for future use. Credit will be given on remaining funds after the full (not discounted) price of the treatment is debited.
